There ended up being quite a few pictures I took that did not get inserted into my blog posts about my Kootenay travels so here are a few more of my favourites for your enjoyment.
Here are a couple of many heart stones that we found while wandering around.
Below are some more rings I made up before heading over to Alberta. I have since purchased more materials and will be making many, many more!
This first picture is the Salmon Fly before it gets its wings. From what I witnessed at the boat, it appears that they mature underground and once ready, surface, shed their outer layer and take flight. A cool fact is that if you can catch this smart invertebrate, you can pop him in the freezer until you are reading to go fishing. When you go fishing, they will thaw and come back to life. Just don’t leave them in there for too long.
As creepy as bugs usually are, I found these guys to be really neat and they make a very nice humming/murmuring sound out in the trees.
My mum and I went hiking and came across this lake that was filled with tadpoles. It was so hot out so we jumped in with them.
I was so lucky to get this grouse shot. She woke me up quite early one morning and was calling her babies past the boat and into the woods.
I finally got to hang my prayer flags outside!!
If you wanted to see more pictures from the mountain, then wait no longer!
Until next time beautiful countryside!!!!
